This policy explains how vehicles and parts purchased from 89 Auto Collection Limited are released, collected, or delivered after payment has been received and cleared through Scotiabank / Fiserv.
1. Payment clearance before release
No vehicle, part, or completed service job is released until the associated card payment has been authorised and settled. Card authorisations typically settle within 1–2 business days of a successful transaction. Deposits reserve the vehicle only — the balance must be paid and cleared before collection or delivery is scheduled.
2. Vehicle collection from our lot
The standard release method is in-person collection from our San Fernando showroom 64–66 Cipero Street, San Fernando, Trinidad & Tobago during business hours. At collection the customer must present:
- a valid government-issued photo ID matching the buyer on the bill of sale;
- the payment receipt or confirmation reference (email or SMS is acceptable); and
- proof of active motor insurance in the buyer's name for the vehicle being collected.
Collection is by appointment. We aim to have the vehicle prepared, valeted, and ready for handover within {{EDIT: 2 business days}} of cleared payment.
3. Local delivery within Trinidad
Delivery to an address within Trinidad can be arranged on request. Delivery is typically completed within {{EDIT: 3–5 business days}} of cleared payment, subject to route and preparation. A delivery fee of {{EDIT: TTD amount}} applies and is quoted before the transaction is completed. The vehicle is covered by dealer transport insurance while in transit; risk transfers to the buyer on signed handover.
4. Tobago and inter-island transfer
For buyers in Tobago, 89 Auto Collection Limited can arrange booking of the inter-island ferry on the buyer's behalf. Ferry fees, port charges, and any driver transfer costs are for the buyer's account and are quoted separately before booking. The buyer is responsible for meeting or receiving the vehicle at the Scarborough terminal unless onward delivery is agreed in writing.
5. Export and out-of-country vehicles
Where a vehicle is sold for export or is a cleared out-of-country unit, handover takes place at our lot or at the buyer's nominated freight forwarder in Trinidad. Onward international shipping, insurance, and destination-country duties are arranged and paid for by the buyer.
6. Parts and accessories
Small parts and accessories are collected from our San Fernando location. Courier dispatch within Trinidad can be arranged for an additional fee quoted at the time of purchase; risk in the goods transfers to the courier on dispatch.
7. Service jobs
Vehicles left with us for service, diagnostics, or repair are released back to the registered owner (or a written authorised representative) once the invoice has been paid in full and the payment has cleared. Standard workshop opening hours apply.
8. Delivery failures and re-scheduling
If a scheduled delivery cannot be completed because the buyer or an authorised representative is not present, we will contact the buyer to reschedule. Repeat failed deliveries may incur an additional delivery fee equal to the original amount quoted.
